The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Washington State commenced its operations in February 2026 as a diplomatic mission under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Consulate General provides consular and visa services to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan residing in the U.S. states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, as well as to foreign nationals living within its consular jurisdiction.

Former President of the Seattle–Tashkent Sister City Association. He led the organization from 2006 to 2016, making a significant contribution to strengthening cultural and educational cooperation between Seattle and Tashkent. He is the author of the book “Seattle & Tashkent: Fifty Years of a Remarkable Sister City Friendship (1973–2023),” which chronicles the 50-year history of cooperation between the two sister cities.

She has played a leading role in the organization for many years, contributing to the development of cultural, educational, and citizen diplomacy initiatives while strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening cultural, social, and diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, fostering friendship between the two nations, and uniting the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, he was awarded Uzbekistan’s “Friendship between Nations” honor by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Chairman of the “Uzbek Mahalla” Community Organization and a member of the Board of Directors of the Seattle–Tashkent Sister City Association (STSCA). He is actively engaged in strengthening the Uzbek community in Washington State by preserving national traditions, organizing cultural initiatives, and supporting the successful integration of newly arrived Uzbek immigrants into American society.
